General Atomics Electromagnetic Systems (GA-EMS) designs and manufactures first-of-a-kind electromagnetic and electric power generation systems. GA-EMS’ expanding portfolio of specialized products and integrated system solutions support critical fleet, space systems and satellites, missile defense, power and energy, and process and monitoring applications for defense, industrial, and commercial customers worldwide.
The GA-EMS Aircraft Launch and Recovery Equipment (ALRE) Program office is looking for project administrator to join our production team. The project administrator will be the program office’s direct liaison to the manufacturing floor at GA-EMS’s Tupelo Manufacturing Facility. This person will provide status of all aspects of the program as materials move through GA-EMS production. This individual will serve as the liaison between manufacturing, program management, senior management, and potentially the customer as required for all aspects of the project. Assess project issues and develop solutions to meet production, quality, and customer-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project management, functional management, and the manufacturing floor (material planning, production planning, manufacturing, quality, etc.…). Provide key inputs to the program office for decisions that could have long-lasting impact on outcomes and may influence the course of the organization.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Administers daily operational aspects of one or more ongoing projects; participates in project plan development, design and schedule.
- Integrates and analyzes project plans to ensure milestones and delivery requirements are met; ensures that all the key parties are advised.
- Analyzes data and situations and develops solutions with project managers, line managers and clients; influences and guides on actions to be taken.
- Develops appropriate electronic and hard copy reports and records.
- Represent the organization as a prime contact with outside organizations; may make internal and external presentations as required.
- Maintains the strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Responsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.
- Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.
- Identify and assess project issues and develop solutions to meet productivity, quality and customer satisfaction goals, and business objectives.
- May participate in, lead segments of or provide overall management for the request for proposal (RFP) process to generate new business.
- Maintain the strict confidentiality of sensitive information.

Job Qualifications:
- Typically requires a bachelors degree in Business Administration or a related discipline and ten or more years of progressive professional project administration experience. Equivalent professional experience may be substituted in lieu of education
- Equivalent professional experience may be substituted in lieu of education.
- Must demonstrate a complete understanding of project administration principles, theories, concepts and techniques.
- Must have experience organizing, planning, scheduling, conducting, and coordinating work assignments to meet project milestones or established completion dates.
- Must possess the ability to understand new concepts quickly and apply them in an evolving environment while contributing to the development of new processes.
- Must be customer focused and possess:
- the ability to identify issues, analyze data and develop solutions to a variety of complex problems;
- strong analytical, verbal and written communication skills to accurately document, report, and present findings
- strong interpersonal skills enabling an effective interface with other professionals
- good computer skills
- Experience with SAP business solutions including, but not limited to, MRP and PEO is required
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment is essential as is the ability to work extended hours as required.
- Experience with DoD contracts is desired
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance is required.
- U.S. citizenship required.
Salary:$89,110 - $155,680
