We have a great opportunity for an experienced Operations Duty Specialist to join our GA-SI Aero Services Division in Sierra Vista, AZ (Ft. Huachuca).

This position is responsible for providing oversight for facilitating flight planning, scheduling and mission monitoring activities and planning support services.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • In accordance with organizational goals, and following established policies and procedures, coordinates subordinate activities to meet established training requirements as well as executes flight mission planning, briefs, and debriefs, and risk management.
  • Develops up to date accurate documentation and reports to reflect team activity.
  • May participate in the planning, selection, retention, and development of staff.
  • Represents the team to management and gives presentations as required.
  • Leads and provides oversight with facilitating flight planning, ensuring all required training and administrative tasks are complete.
  • Conducts risk management.
  • Administers and executes briefings.
  • Develops and presents accurate and timely reports and pre/post flight briefs.
  • May participate in the planning, selection, retention, and development of staff.
  • Operate as a visual observer at all times of aircraft while operating in specified airspace and advise the aircrew of hazards while the aircraft is flying.
  • Coordinates with applicable airspace to facilitate UAS access and utilization of necessary airspace to support operational requirements.
  • Provides flight authorization and scheduling support/qualified Aircrew, including preparing and updating, submission and oversight of CBP mission activities prior to execution.
  • Responsible for observing all laws, regulations, and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.
  • Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.

Job Qualifications:
  • Typically requires a Bachelors degree in a technical field as well as six or more years progressively complex technical experience. May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education.
  • Must demonstrate an understanding of mission deployment including flight mission planning, briefs and debriefs, risk management and U.S. deployment briefs training.

  • The ability to resolve non-routine management and problems.
  • good verbal and written communication skills to accurately document, report, and present findings.
  • Good interpersonal skills to effectively interface with all levels of employees and management.
  • The ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Valid FAA medical.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an Active CBP security clearance.

Salary:$66,940 - $116,965
