We have an exciting opportunity for a Real Estate Lease Administrator within our Real Estate department located in San Diego. With limited direction, this position exercises considerable latitude in developing, analyzing, and administering real estate transactions in support of Company business areas.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for managing a 2.0M SF nationwide portfolio of commercial leases, including strategic planning, analysis, negotiation, and administration. This includes leases, licenses, amendments, use agreements, and ancillary real estate documentation.

  • Leads the selection, evaluation, negotiation, acquisition, occupation, management and/or disposition of real property leases.

  • Interfaces with support functions to ensure projects and activities are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance.

  • Researches, analyzes and models data to identify trends and form actionable and innovative solutions.

  • Researches, analyzes and extracts data from CoStar in support of lease comparatives, valuations, market conditions and availability.

  • Prepares a rent reasonableness memo and various deliverables in support of lease transactions.

  • Leads the real estate due diligence activities in support of Company mergers and acquisitions.

  • Acts as the primary contact with internal customers and external suppliers and vendors; gives presentations as required.

  • May provide direction and training to less experienced staff.

  • Maintains the strict confidentiality of sensitive information.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Responsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company. Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.

Job Qualifications:
  • Typically requires a bachelors' degree in a related field and ten (10) or more years of progressive professional real estate administration experience. Equivalent professional experience may be substituted in lieu of education.

  • Must demonstrate a broad understanding of real estate transaction principles, theories, concepts and techniques. Must have experience organizing, planning, scheduling, conducting, and coordinating work assignments to meet project milestones or established completion dates.

  • Must possess the ability to understand new concepts quickly and apply them in an evolving environment while contributing to the development of new processes.

  • Must be customer focused and possess:

    • the ability to identify issues, analyze data and develop solutions to a variety of highly complex problems;

    • excellent analytical, verbal and written communication skills to accurately document, report, and present findings;

    • excellent interpersonal skills enabling an effective interface with other professionals; and​​​​​​​strong computer skills. Ability to work independently or in a team environment is essential as is the ability to work extended hours as required.

  • Aeronautical/Defense industry experience preferred but not required.
