Job Summary General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI), an affiliate of General Atomics, is a world leader in proven, reliable remotely piloted aircraft and tactical reconnaissance radars, as well as advanced high-resolution surveillance systems.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Radar Technician (Deployable) to join our MPEx team located in Poway, CA.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Conduct depot level repair, integration and testing, modification and operation of complex synthetic aperture radar (SAR) / ground moving target indicator (GMTI) and other airborne sensors.
  • Operate specialized test equipment in the performance of troubleshooting and maintaining sensors, both in the laboratory and in the field.
  • Performs and/or assists in fabrication, modification, assembly, installation, operation, repair and maintenance of complex laboratory, experimental and commercial equipment.
  • May assist in the design of basic lab, experimental, and commercial equipment.
  • Applies specialized knowledge and skills pertinent to the organization, project or program assigned.
  • Will utilize SAP processes to track defective components

Job Qualifications:
  • Typically requires associate's degree or equivalent with five or more years of experience. May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education.
  • Previous Radar/RF experience and the ability to operate common and specialized test equipment in the performance of Depot level repairs is required.
  • Must be highly proficient in computer applications and network interface applications as well as have the ability to understand schematics/block diagrams.
  • Must have analytical ability to read and understand detailed instructions, drawings and specifications.
  • Must have strong communication skills necessary to write and record precise information.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Security Clearance is required.

Salary:$56,180 - $83,518
