Job Summary General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI), an affiliate of General Atomics, is a world leader in proven, reliable remotely piloted aircraft and tactical reconnaissance radars, as well as advanced high-resolution surveillance systems.

With general direction, this position is responsible for the administration of operational aspects of ongoing projects. Exercising judgment within generally defined precedents and policies, participates in developing plans to ensure that activities achieve desired results, initiates project(s), and participates in development of project design and schedule to meet overall objectives.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Daily Operations Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of ongoing projects, including planning, design, and scheduling.
  • Project Plan Integration and Analysis: Ensure project milestones and delivery requirements are met and communicate with all key parties involved.
  • Problem Solving and Guidance: Analyze data and situations, develop solutions, and guide actions with project managers, line managers, and clients.
  • Presentations: Make internal and external presentations as needed.
  • Support to Less Experienced Staff: Provide direction and support to less experienced professional staff.
  • Business Visitor Coordination: Coordinate all aspects of business visits, both virtual and onsite.
  • Facilities Tours Host & Escort: Host and escort facility tours, providing informative experiences.
  • Event Planning and Execution: Support the planning and execution of functional and company events.
  • ASI Finance TV Support: Help evolve, mature, and sustain ASI Finance TV.
  • Leadership Initiatives Support: Assist senior leaders with project management activities, including recaps, action item management, and status updates.
  • Leadership Support: Provide operational support to the Senior Director.
  • Organizational Support: Support the organization with tactical tasks to optimize operational execution.
  • Administrative Tasks: Undertake additional administrative tasks assigned by senior leaders.
  • Confidentiality Maintenance: Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Safety Compliance: Work safely according to established procedures and practices.
  • Legal and Regulatory Compliance: Observe all laws, regulations, and applicable obligations during business conduct.

Job Qualifications:
  • Typically requires a bachelors degree in Business Administration or a related discipline and six or more years of progressive professional project administration experience. Equivalent professional experience may be substituted in lieu of education.
  • Must demonstrate a complete understanding of project administration principles, theories, concepts and techniques. Must have experience organizing, planning, scheduling, conducting, and coordinating work assignments to meet project milestones or established completion dates.
  • Must possess the ability to understand new concepts quickly and apply them in an evolving environment while contributing to the development of new processes.

Must be customer focused and possess:
  • Ability to identify issues, analyze data and develop solutions to a variety of complex problems;
  • Strong analytical, verbal and written communication skills to accurately document, report, and present findings;
  • Strong interpersonal skills enabling an effective interface with other professionals; and
  • Good computer skills.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment is essential as is the ability to work extended hours as required.
  • Aptitude to learn and/or existing experience in M365 products (e.g., MS Forms, Excel, Project, Planner, Lists, Power Apps, Power Automate, SharePoint Online, etc.) is preferred.
