Job Summary General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI), an affiliate of General Atomics, is a world leader in proven, reliable remotely piloted aircraft and tactical reconnaissance radars, as well as advanced high-resolution surveillance systems.

We are looking for a process oriented Project Manager to take responsibility for growing number of LO application development and demonstration programs. The ideal candidate should have background in internal processes, procurement, preparing proposals and CDRLs, and supporting development programs. Also must have ability to work as part of an Integrated Product Team and perform duties necessary to accomplish the objective of meeting program deliverables.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist with development of project plan(s) and manage resources to ensure project schedule, budget, quality and specification goals are attained.
  • Manage and monitor project schedule, timelines, and milestones from initiation to delivery to meet delivery goals.
  • Coordinate departmental and/or cross-functional teams to assign and prioritize tasks focused on delivering new or upgrading existing products and/or services.
  • Assign and monitor work of project management staff, providing technical support and direction when necessary.
  • Administer and execute policies, processes, and procedures that impact the assigned project.
  • Employee will be creating work authorizations, initiating and tracking procurements, supporting proposal processes, and help execute programs. Employee will be providing assignments to the Integrated Product Team to achieve these deliverables and ensuring the resources are in place to meet cost and schedule.

Job Qualifications:
  • Typically requires a Bachelors in Business Administration or related discipline and nine or more years of progressively complex experience in the project administration field with at least three of those years in project management. May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education.
  • Should have background in internal processes, procurement, preparing proposals and CDRLs, and supporting development programs. Also must have ability to work as part of an Integrated Product Team and perform duties necessary to accomplish the objective of meeting program deliverables.
  • Broad knowledge of aerospace processes and procedures, ability to delineate R&D from production hardware, ability to plan/schedule/budget work to be performed, and assist in creating/documenting new processes and procedures as needed to support a growing business area.
  • Also desirable are skills for forecasting and loading demand into other work cells. Understanding how to operate in classified work environments also strongly encouraged.
  • Active Secret DoD security clearance is required.
