Job Summary General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI), an affiliate of General Atomics, is a world leader in proven, reliable remotely piloted aircraft and tactical reconnaissance radars, as well as advanced high-resolution surveillance systems.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Control Analyst in San Diego, CA (Poway, CA) supporting the Flight Technologies group with projects and programs.

Under close supervision, assists in planning, tracking, analysis, and reporting procedures for projects of varying contract type, size, and complexity. Works in a team environment with technical, financial, and management staff to track and control project activity and deliverables. Assists management to establish and maintain cost/schedule baseline as well as data products that visualize cost tracking methodologies. Works with Flight Tech supervisors and managers to ensure uniform application of procedures. With direction, implements reporting procedures to review project status, valuation of work in progress, as well as tracking procedures for engineering deliverables. Contributes to new business proposals by developing schedules and providing manpower and cost estimates.

In addition, when bid and proposal work permits, will assist the department management team in creating data analysis and statistics-based products that look beyond financial and program analysis. This may involve data processing of hardware and software test results, software utilization reporting, code development, process documentation, etc.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assists with schedules, budgets, performance monitoring, analysis and reporting on Flight Technologies projects and programs.
  • Monitors and assures budget availability, proper approval authorization and charge account. Tracks the status of procurements for the purposes of cost reporting.
  • Assists with the development of schedules for assigned programs and development of data visualization strategies using reporting programs in project, python, etc.
  • Interfaces with operating and support groups (Purchasing, Finance, QA) to collect data for preparation of schedules and reports.
  • Provides task leaders and Flight Technologies management with clear, timely and accurate information with which to make decisions.
  • Implements reporting procedures to evaluate project status, valuation of work in progress, and tracking of engineering deliverables.
  • Responsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.
  • Expected to maintain a productive and safe working environment in accordance with established operating procedures and practice.

Job Qualifications:
  • Typically requires education or formal training equivalent to the completion of a bachelor's degree in business administration or a related discipline, along with three or more years of related experience. May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education.
  • Demonstrates the ability to understand accounting, planning and tracking procedures, and manufacturing systems in a research or production environment.
  • Must have good organizational skills.
  • Must be familiar with office electronic software including: data analysis tools (python, matlab, etc.), word processing, spreadsheet, e-mail, Internet, database, and project management.
  • Must be able to work extended hours and travel as required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance is required.

Salary:$56,820 - $96,015
