Job Summary General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI), an affiliate of General Atomics, is a world leader in proven, reliable remotely piloted aircraft and tactical reconnaissance radars, as well as advanced high-resolution surveillance systems.

This position is responsible for managing the planning, preparation, issue, control and coordination of production schedules and material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of materials. Oversees work in progress, material availability, and resolves complex problems to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget. Ensures material supply and schedule, shop load and inventory requirements are met. Recommends modifications to operating policies.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provides leadership and directs the daily activities of assigned staff.
  • Provides for the efficient use of resources via continuous planning, scheduling and expediting of labor and material.
  • Analyses and processes work orders, sales orders, purchase requisitions and material transactions for disposition.
  • Oversees and coordinates physical movement of materials.
  • Represent the department with internal and external representatives; coordinates interdepartmental activity.
  • Interprets and executes policies and procedures; recommends modifications to operating policies.
  • Leads in hiring and promoting subordinate employees; train subordinates; assign, direct and review their work
  • Responsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.
  • Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices. Additional Functions Other duties as assigned or required.

Job Qualifications:
  • Typically requires education or formal training equivalent to the completion of an associate's degree and six or more years of progressive experience in production control. Additional professional experience may be substituted in lieu of education.
  • Must demonstrate a thorough working knowledge and understanding of production control services principles, concepts, theories, regulations and practices; and leadership skills including organizing, planning, scheduling and coordinating workloads to meet established deadlines and milestones.
  • Must possess the ability to resolve complex issues.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to accurately document, report and present findings.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interface with all levels of employees, including providing direction to and scheduling work of assigned staff, management and outside representatives.
  • The ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information; and, strong computer skills.
  • Ability to work independently and lead in a team environment is essential as is the ability to work extended hours and travel as required

Salary:$62,510 - $105,628
