We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Logistics Manager serving as the USAF Contractor Inventory Control Point (CICP) Manager in our Sustainment Organization located in Poway, California. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading Inventory Control Point and Warehousing operations. The position is responsible for leading and managing a diverse inventory control point, warehousing, and distribution team responsible for providing logistics and supply support for USAF/USMC and US Customer Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) contracts. This position typically reports contractually to the on-site USAF LCMC Det 3 Commander, and administratively to a GA-ASI senior logistics manager leading all phases of supply support from initial outfitting, through sustainment, to disposal. The position applies established technologies using standard principles, theories, concepts, and techniques to provide logistics and supply solutions to a variety of technical problems. Typically accomplishes objectives through collaboration with subordinate managers, and cross-functionally with GA-ASI USAF/USMC/US Customer Program Management Offices and supporting GA-ASI Sustainment activities. Also collaborates and coordinates directly with supported USAF customers, Warner Robins Air Logistics Center, USAF Lifecycle Management Center, and Air Force Material Command.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- This position is responsible for managing the planning and administration of integrated logistics strategies and processes.
- Ensures that customer support requirements and objectives are achieved within budgets and schedules to meet marketing and financial objectives.
- Ensures superior execution and continuous improvement of standard logistics processes, such as supportability analysis planning and database development processes, the product support and replenishment system, product support data interchange systems, demand management and related functions.
- Build relationships with strategic customers through logistic initiatives.
- Integrates learning from customers, competitors, other industries, industry groups, and professional training to continuously improve competitive position. Major focus will be controlling the cost sustainment activities without impacting mission effectiveness.
- May be responsible for decisions that have an extended and significant impact on outcomes across the company.
- Manage the planning of logistics strategies and establish standard logistics processes and tools.
- Manage all contract logistics activities for compliance with standard processes.
- Develop strategic plans and processes that solve customer challenges while still operating within the DOD policies.
- Manage the coordination of supply and logistics providing world-wide support for customer’s fleets, including logistics planning, training, and supply chain activities from delivery through support, deployment, freight, warehousing, customer freight, order management, customer warehousing, customer store shipment, and customer placement.
- Develop processes that identify which items need to be procured, stored and positioned at the operating locations while still minimizing the amount of surplus material being dispositioned.
- Identify logistics issues and provide leadership in developing solutions such as re-allocation of resources or modifying manufacturing or supply chain processes.
- Act as the primary contact for logistics activities and lead progress planning and review sessions to discuss costs, schedule, and technical performance.
- Will assist the customer to develop courses of action to resolve sustainment issues that require thinking outside the box.
- Manage the development and implementation of annual and long-term technical, schedule, quality, business, and financial objectives for logistic activities and participate in the development of overall unit/Division/Group annual and long-term objectives.
- Ensures customers are informed of the necessary sustainment functions that are necessary to ensure systems are sustainable upon delivery.
- Contribute to contract negotiations and contract modifications.
- Contribute to the preparation of proposals, business plans, and proposal work statements to provide worldwide logistics for the USAF/USMC/US Customer MQ-9A Reaper programs.
- Manage the planning, attraction, selection, retention, and development of human resources to ensure the availability of the required management, professional, and technical talent.
- Maintain the strict confidentiality of sensitive information. Other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline and thirteen or more years of progressively complex logistics experience in a manufacturing environment. Additional equivalent experience may be substituted in lieu of education.
- Must have a thorough understanding of the principles, concepts, and practices of logistics management and experience demonstrating a broad application of those practices and standards.
- Must have comprehensive project management and leadership skills, including organizing, planning, scheduling, and coordinating workloads to meet established deadlines or milestones.
- Must possess the ability to resolve unusually complex management and technical problems and serve as spokesperson on logistic issues.
- Strong communication, leadership, presentation, and interpersonal skills are required.
- Customer focused, must be able to work on a self-initiated basis and in a team environment, and able to work extended hours and travel as required.
- Must have experience in DoD retail and wholesale supply and logistics processes.
- Experience in DoD Inventory Control Point operations preferred.
- Experience in USAF Organic or Contractor Inventory Control Point Operations will be highly considered.
- Have a comprehensive understanding of the elements of DOD acquisition functions and processes.
- Must have knowledge of the configuration control process and how that impacts the sustainment functions.
Salary:$112,320 - $205,058
