Job Summary General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI), an affiliate of General Atomics, is a world leader in proven, reliable remotely piloted aircraft and tactical reconnaissance radars, as well as advanced high-resolution surveillance systems.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Program Analyst to support process improvement and infrastructure initiatives within our Program Processes and Services organization, supporting the Program Management Resource Center (PMRC) in Poway, CA.

The primary responsibility of this position is the administration of intercompany work authorizations (IWAs) between GA-ASI and its affiliates. The IWA administrator works closely with not only ASI program managers, but also affiliate program managers and is an active member of the inter-affiliate IWA core team. The IWA administrator manages and coordinates the operational aspects of the intercompany agreements similar to managing a customer or IRAD program agreement. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress, team collaboration and problem solving with project management, functional management, and internal customers including GA affiliates. May provide direction to less experienced professional staff.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Initiates new or change order IWAs in the IWA application or legacy process. Conducts IWA closeout process when IWA is complete.
  • Administers and executes IWA policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Receives IWA progress reports from finance team, conducts analysis and presents findings to ASI IWA manager. Works with PM and finance team to resolve funding/budgeting issues.
  • Collaborates with IWA team and management to coordinate, develop or update, communicate and publish process IWA documentation and training, if required. May also conduct training on IWA process.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental and other regulations.
  • Maintain the strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or required.

Job Qualifications:
  • Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related discipline along with six or more years of related experience. May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education.
  • Must have a basic understanding of project management processes and procedures. Understanding of basic contract management is desired.
  • Must have strong communication, documentation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Must have the ability to:
  • Initiate, plan and manage projects
  • Identify issues, analyze and interpret data and develop solutions for a wide range of complex issues
  • Organize, schedule, and coordinate workloads to meet established milestones
  • Work independently and as part of a team
  • Must have Federal Government contracting experience.

Salary:$81,080 - $141,650
