Environmental Services Aide

We have an exciting opportunity for an Environmental Services Aide to join our Facilities team in Palmdale, CA.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Under close supervision with detailed instructions, this position is responsible for maintaining building, ground and office areas in a clean, orderly and sanitary condition.
• Follows established training procedures and guidelines to include the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment.
• Cleans assigned areas according to established standards.
• Performs a combination of routine duties including but not limited to vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, scrubbing, mopping and polishing.
• Reports items needing repair and hazardous conditions requiring correction to lead and/or supervisor.
• Follows established antiseptic techniques and uses appropriate solutions to clean and wash fixtures, restrooms and all touch points.
• Maintains cleanliness and orderliness of custodial stockroom equipment, tools and closets.
• Gathers and disposes of trash and recyclables. Washes and relines waste containers.
• May respond to customer inquiries and requests as needed.
• May be required to launder microfibers, cleaning cloths, flat mops and bonnets.
• Inspects and maintains equipment to ensure safe usage.
• May drive company vehicle between locations.
• Cleans carpets as necessary to include spot cleaning.
• Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.
• Performs other duties as assigned or required.

Job Qualifications:

• Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent and one or more years of related experience in janitorial services
• Must be customer focused
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions in English
• Must have a valid driver’s license if operating a company vehicle
• Ability to use power equipment
• Effectively interface and communicate with customers
• Work independently or in a team environment
• Work extended hours as required.
• May require the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and may require lifting above shoulders.
• May require a valid California driver’s license with a good driving record verified by the DMV.

Salary:$35,390 - $52,625
