Job Summary General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI), an affiliate of General Atomics, is a world leader in proven, reliable remotely piloted aircraft and tactical reconnaissance radars, as well as advanced high-resolution surveillance systems.

The Regional Vice President, Indo-Pacific Region will be responsible for supporting the capture of business in the Indo-Pacific region. This position will liaise with the U.S. component and joint commands to support international and DoD business development activities with initial focus on the capture of business with Japan, Republic of Korea (ROK), and with Taiwan.

This position will be responsible for direct communication with regional customers. The RVP will also have local oversight and leadership of the Japan based team. The RVP will ensure consistent responses are maintained, shape customer requirements, influence key decision makers, and assess the geopolitical environment.

This position will be based in Japan and will report directly to the VP of GA Global Strategic Development and will be matrixed to the GA-ASI Regional VP of Indo-Pacific. This role will require approximately 40% travel.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Establish and maintain relationships with the US component and joint commands to further collective business interests in the Indo-Pacific region.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Provide technical, operational and strategic analysis and input to support the business case for entry into new or expanded markets in the region.
  • Lead the development of presentations, briefs, CONOPS, white papers, Technical Assistance Agreements, RFIs, RFPs, white papers and pricing.
  • Assist in managing and updating DSP-5 Marketing Licenses in coordination with ITC & Government Affairs, including the addition of regional industry partners.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant international trade regulations and government requirements.
  • Maintain awareness of emerging customer requirements and company capability roadmaps to identify capabilities that can be introduced into export configurations as upgrades.
  • Stay informed about current and future technical and operational trends to make recommendations for future capabilities.
  • Support and, where necessary, execute customer demonstrations.
  • Lead customer meetings with in-country GA team members and representatives, VIP visits, conferences, and events.
  • Develop and provide input to campaigns that lead to winning capture of new business.
  • Develop customer-specific marketing animations based on CONOPs for use in capture efforts, trade shows, and social media campaigns.
  • Coordinate the development of CONOPs and fleet sizing studies, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
  • Identify requirements for customer-specific marketing animations based on CONOPs for use in capture efforts, trade shows, and social media campaigns.
  • Support tradeshows, air shows and other conferences as required.
  • Oversee the regionally based team.
