Job Summary

Cryotech Deicing Technology, a division of General Atomics, is a leader in the development and manufacturing of deicing products for aircraft, runways and other applications.

Under limited supervision, this position is responsible for creating, modifying, and troubleshooting programmable code in all our manufacturing process control systems. This person will be interfacing with Emerson DeltaV, PLC, and other 3rd party software platforms.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Troubleshoot existing code to keep equipment operational
  • Optimize control systems to provide most efficient and cost-efficient solutions
  • Specify control systems or additional control system equipment based on project requirements
  • Coordinate work with employees from other departments such as Operations, Maintenance, and Electrical
  • Ensures all licensing is up to date and responsible for software updates
  • Completes programming and implements efficiencies, performs testing and debugging.
  • Completes documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance.
  • Human-Machine Interface (HMI) development – operator screens creation
  • Plan for system maintenance – such as hardware upgrades, software upgrades, or control program uploads or downloads
  • Data collection creation and verification
  • Improve and implement system documentation for increased understanding of how the system works and is configured
  • Train electricians on troubleshooting of DCS and PLC systems
  • Maintain inventory of critical components for the control systems
  • Maintains strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Responsible for observing all laws, regulations, and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.
  • Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.
  • Expected to work outside of normal working hours to keep all plant operations on-line

Job Qualifications:
  • Typically requires a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field and five years of related experience. May substitute equivalent machine learning engineer experience in lieu of education.
  • Must have a general understanding of machine learning concepts, principles, and theory with technical experience demonstrating the application of those concepts while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance. (DeltaV, PLC- Allen-Bradley, Automation Direct, Schneider and MicroLogix is preferred)
  • Must possess the ability to understand new concepts quickly and apply them accurately throughout an evolving environment and organize work assignments to meet established timetables.
  • Must have the ability to multi-task in a manufacturing environment to keep the plant on-line
  • Strong communication, computer, documentation, presentation, and interpersonal skills are required, as well as the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be able to work extended hours as required.

Salary:$73,650 - $128,663
