General Atomics Electromagnetic Systems (GA-EMS) designs and manufactures first-of-a-kind electromagnetic and electric power generation systems. GA-EMS’ expanding portfolio of specialized products and integrated system solutions support critical fleet, space systems and satellites, missile defense, power and energy, and process and monitoring applications for defense, industrial, and commercial customers worldwide.

We are seeking a Software Engineer specializing in DevOps for the GA-EMS Radar Technologies Directorate. In this role, the Software Engineer will be tasked with designing and implementing DevOps pipelines as part of the Software Infrastructure team. The Software Engineer will report to the Senior Manager of Software Engineering within the Radar Technologies Directorate
This is a hybrid role that requires an in-office presence based on project needs, including lab integration and in-person collaboration meetings.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBLITIES:
  • Design and implement CI/CD pipelines to ensure reliable, repeatable software deliveries
  • Develop automated testing, continuous integration (CI), and continuous delivery (CD) processes to enhance efficiency and accelerate software development cycles.
  • Select, configure, and integrate tools to enhance software development flow, optimizing productivity and performance.
  • Design and implement dashboards that display DevOps metrics, performance measures
  • Continuously evaluates existing systems with industry standards and makes recommendations for improvement.
  • Manages code deployments, fixes and related processes
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex software issues and performance problems.

Job Qualifications:
  • Typically requires bachelor’s degree, master’s degree or PhD in computer science/engineering or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution and progressive engineering experience as follows; nine or more years of experience with a bachelor’s degree, seven or more years of experience with a master’s degree, or four or more years with a PhD. May substitute equivalent engineering experience in lieu of education.
  • Experience building, deploying, and managing containerized applications using Docker or similar technologies.
  • Expertise with several of the following: Jenkins, Git, containers, Ansible, Artifactory
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: 
  • Experience using AI to assist with software development tasks
  • Experience with embedded systems development
  • Experience with real-time application development
  • Experience with Radar systems
  • Active Secret Clearance

Salary:$116,480 - $208,505
