We are looking for a Laser Operator to join our team based in New Mexico with extensive travel..

Under general direction, this position is responsible for developing and controlling manufacturing processes and evaluating and resolving production issues related to manufacturing, design, quality and material engineering. Analyzes, investigates and provides solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity.

DUTIES & REPSONISBILITES:
  • Analyzes, evaluates and resolves engineering related production problems.
  • Analyzes, develops and controls manufacturing processes, procedures and tooling.
  • Analyzes defective, damaged or malfunctioning parts, assemblies, equipment and systems; analyzes and routes non-conforming reports; develops and implements corrective action.
  • Identifies training needs; trains appropriate staff.
  • May represent group as member of change control board.
  • Analyzes, investigates and recommends design and process changes; coordinates with engineering and manufacturing departments.
  • Responsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.
  • Expected to maintain a productive and safe working environment in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.
  • Additional Functions Other duties as assigned or required.

Job Qualifications:
  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree and five or more years of progressive professional experience in a technical capacity in production operations. May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education.
  • Experienced in the operation and maintenance of laser systems
  • Able to align optics and operate optical test equipment
  • Knowledgeable of laser support equipment, including electrical power, thermal management and water cooling
  • Must have Secret clearance (Top Secret preferred)
  • Must be willing to travel (50%-75%)

Salary:$66,940 - $116,965
