Job Summary General Atomics Systems Integration, LLC (GA-SI), an affiliate of General Atomics, is a provider of military and commercial engineering services. GA-SI is a leading-edge expert in systems integration technologies, reliability improvements, and controls system design.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Site Supervisor to join our team in Sierra Vista (Ft. Huachuca) Arizona.

This position is responsible for supervising, planning, and coordinating the daily operations of site including maintenance, modification, troubleshooting, overhaul, and repair of electronic and mechanical devices used for air vehicles, ground control stations, ground data terminals and ground support equipment. Planning and coordinating activities to meet production safety, quality, schedule, and cost objectives while ensuring FAA maintenance requirements are met. Overseeing day-to-day activities including planning, training, supervision, and work assignments of avionics personnel. This individual may be responsible for decisions that impact the department.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Coordinate and monitor the planning, scheduling, and activities of site operations to achieve business, safety, quality, and financial objectives and to support delivery commitments.
  • Coordinate and participate in activities with engineering, manufacturing, and quality departments to ensure proper hardware and software configurations.
  • Develop methods to improve product quality, reliability and efficiency while inspecting work in progress and finished products.
  • Coordinate and monitor the schedule and technical efforts of avionics technicians to support company and customer operations off-site.
  • May interact with other departments (integration, pilots, maintenance, mechanics) to ensure production delivery and flight test schedules are met.
  • May represent the organization with outside vendors and/or customers.
  • Participate in the planning, attraction, selection, retention, and development of human resources to ensure the availability of the required management, professional, and technical talent.
  • Maintain the strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Responsible for ensuring all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations are observed wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.
  • Responsible for ensuring work is accomplished in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.
  • Additional Functions Other duties as assigned or required.

Job Qualifications:
  • Typically requires a bachelor's degree and eight or more years of complex experience in aircraft maintenance. Additional professional experience may be substituted in lieu of education.
  • Must demonstrate a strong working knowledge and understanding of FAA aircraft and engine maintenance and repair concepts, regulations and practices as well as a mechanics license.
  • Must have leadership skills including organizing, planning, scheduling and coordinating workloads to meet established deadlines and milestones.
  • Must also possess:
    • The ability to resolve moderately complex issues.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills to accurately document, report and present findings.
    • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interface with all levels of employees, including providing direction to and scheduling work of assigned staff; and, good computer skills. Ability to work independently and lead in a team environment is essential as is the ability to work extended hours and travel as required.

Salary:$81,000 - $141,533
