The Power BI Manager is responsible for leading the strategy, development, and governance of enterprise Power BI reporting and analytics. This role oversees a team of analysts and developers, drives best practices in data visualization, ensures data accuracy and usability, and partners cross-functionally to deliver insights that support strategic decision-making. The manager will serve as the primary steward of Power BI standards, data models, and governance across the organization.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Lead and mentor a team of Power BI developers, analysts, and report authors.
  • Define the Power BI roadmap, strategy, and architecture with alignment to enterprise analytics goals.
  • Champion self-service analytics while maintaining strong data governance and quality.
  • Collaborate with executive leaders to prioritize reporting needs that support strategic initiatives.
  • Oversee the design, development, and deployment of Power BI reports, dashboards, data models, and semantic layers.
  • Establish and maintain Power BI governance, including naming conventions, workspace management, security standards, and access controls.
  • Ensure adherence to best practices in DAX, data modeling, performance optimization, and visualization.
  • Manage the lifecycle of reports—including intake, development, testing, documentation, and retirement.
  • Work closely with business units (Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, HR, etc.) to understand reporting needs and translate them into actionable dashboards.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or required.
  • We operate on a 9x80 schedule with every other Friday off.

Job Qualifications:
  • Essential Qualifications Typically requires a bachelors degree in business administration, information technology or related discipline and thirteen or more years of progressive strategic business experience. Equivalent professional experience may be substituted in lieu of education.
  • Strong proficiency in DAX, Power Query, and data modeling principles.
  • Deep understanding of data governance, security roles, workspace configuration, and tenant settings.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Strong project management and prioritization capabilities.
  • Experience in enterprise environments with complex data landscapes.
  • Must be able to contribute to the development of new business process principles and concepts and be able to resolve unusually complex management and technical problems. Must be able to serve as a spokesperson on projects and/or programs.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, presentation, and interpersonal skills are required to enable an effective interface with others.
  • Must be customer focused and able to work on a self-initiated basis and in a team environment.
  • Must be able to work extended hours and travel as required.

Salary:$125,810 - $229,670
