We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Operations Communications Specialist to join our GA-SI Aero Services Team in San Diego, California.

This position is responsible for orchestrating the daily flow of visual and design projects, blending strategic coordination with imaginative problem-solving. Acting as the bridge between project management, design teams, planning, and leadership, this role ensures seamless communication and collaboration across all touchpoints.

With a strong pulse on project timelines, budgets, and deliverables, the role involves crafting clear, visual progress reports and guiding projects from concept through execution. It requires a keen eye for identifying challenges early and shaping innovative solutions that align with production standards, design excellence, and client expectations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of design and communication projects—managing timelines, budgets, resources, and deliverables to meet both business and visual objectives.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between cross-functional teams (design, marketing, digital, and external partners), ensuring smooth collaboration, clear communication, and timely delivery of high-impact work.
  • Provide guidance and leadership to project and design teams, setting priorities, resolving issues, and supporting overall productivity, quality, and client satisfaction.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of visual initiatives including website design, User Experience (UX) enhancements, digital campaigns, and marketing collateral—ensuring consistency with the organization’s visual identity and strategic goals.
  • Partner with stakeholders and vendors to design and optimize systems that enhance digital performance, operational efficiency, and customer engagement.
  • Drive innovation by identifying emerging tools, trends, and technologies that elevate visual output and internal workflows.
  • Monitor project progress and performance, producing clear documentation, reports, and presentations to communicate results to stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, environmental, and internal company standards, maintaining confidentiality and operational safety.
  • May contribute to business development efforts, including RFP participation and the identification of opportunities to expand visual or communication services.
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of business operations and broader organizational goals.

Job Qualifications:
  • Typically requires a Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related discipline and six or more years of progressive professional experience in a Marketing or Communications. Additional professional experience in Marketing or Communications may be substituted in lieu of education.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearence.
  • Must have a good understanding of project management processes and procedures, planning and scheduling methods, and budget management as well as the ability to organize, schedule, and coordinate workloads to meet established milestones and budgets.
  • Must also possess:
    • The ability to initiate, plan and manage projects.
    • The ability to identify issues, analyze and interpret data and develop solutions to a wide range of issues.
    • Strong communication, computer, documentation, presentation, and interpersonal skills; and, the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Must be able to work extended hours and travel as required.

Salary:$73,700 - $128,780
