Job Summary
General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI), an affiliate of General Atomics, is a world leader in proven, reliable remotely piloted aircraft and tactical reconnaissance radars, as well as advanced high-resolution surveillance systems.
We have a unique and exciting opportunity for a Signal Processing Engineer to work in the GA-ASI Agile Mission System (AMS) division on a family of programs developing RF sensing algorithms and sensor systems. The qualified candidate will leverage state of the art techniques in digital signal processing and other areas to design and develop novel sensing algorithms. Upon hiring, the employee will work closely with a small, fast-paced team of other engineers and physicists to design, evaluate, and mature RF sensing algorithms and systems through modeling and simulation of physical phenomena as well as through data analysis and test design. Formal education in computer science, mathematics, physics and signal processing is highly preferred.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Job Qualifications:
- Typically requires a bachelors degree, masters degree or PhD in engineering or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution and progressive engineering experience as follows; six or more years of experience with a bachelors degree, four or more years of experience with a masters degree, or two or more years with a PhD. May substitute equivalent engineering experience in lieu of education.
- Experience with and knowledge of existing algorithms above is important.
- The ability to utilize the following program languages will be key to success for this individual:
- Python
- C/C++
- Matlab
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance is required.
