Job Summary The Advanced Programs Group at General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI), an affiliate of General Atomics, is looking for a Project Manager with a background and experience in graphics design who will coordinate the creation of graphics content for internal and external communications media as well as for proposals for next generation Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS). In this role, you will combine creative design expertise with strong project management skills to drive the visual identity of our proposals and communications. This position will often liaise with the in-house graphics department at GA-ASI and may at times also be directly responsible for creating graphics content for classified and/or very fast turnaround scenarios. This position manages all phases of assigned graphics project(s) and provides solutions for a variety of graphics content needs to ensure project(s) and/or proposals are completed on time and within budget.
Desirable characteristics for this role include the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field strongly preferred
- Previous experience leading creation of graphics content for competitive business proposals
- Create project plan(s) and manage resources to ensure project schedule, budget, quality, and technical goals are attained
- Oversee and monitor project schedule, timelines, and milestones from initiation to delivery
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, communications, engineering, and program management, to conceptualize and execute graphics design projects
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met without compromising quality
- Provide creative direction and constructive feedback to departmental and/or cross-functional teams, encouraging innovation and excellence
- Participate in the preparation of business plans and communications media to senior leaders at the Company or external Customer organizations
- Participate in the request for proposal (RFP) process to generate new business
- Design and develop high-quality graphics, layouts, and visual content for digital and print media
- Assist with the pursuit of new or expanded business partnerships, alliances, and joint ventures that enhance the capabilities of the Group/Company and may result in new products, programs and business opportunities
- Stay current with industry trends, tools, and technologies to continually enhance processes and output
- Ensure the security and confidentiality of proprietary technology and sensitive information is maintained
- Be eligible to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance
- Responsible for ensuring all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations are observed wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.
- Responsible for ensuring work is accomplished in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices

Job Qualifications:
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related discipline and eleven or more years of progressively complex experience in the project administration field with at least five of those years in project management
- May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education
- Must demonstrate an extensive understanding of project management processes and procedures, planning and scheduling methods, and budget management as well as the ability to organize, schedule, and coordinate workloads to meet established milestones and budgets
- Must possess:
- the ability to initiate, plan, and manage projects
- the ability to identify issues, analyze and interpret data and develop solutions to a variety of non-routine matters of diverse scope and nature
- strong analytical, communication, documentation, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- the ability to work independently and lead in a team environment
- Must be able to work extended hours and travel as required
