Job Summary General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI), an affiliate of General Atomics, is a world leader in proven, reliable remotely piloted aircraft and tactical reconnaissance radars, as well as advanced high-resolution surveillance systems.
Without appreciable direction, this position is responsible for developing and coordinating professional development curriculum and training programs for operational or functional employees, in accordance with learning requirements that may include, but is not limited to leadership development; job rotation/shadowing; cross functional training; topical webinars; mentorship .
This role also plans, develops, and/or implements course content and coordinates the development of training aids, training curriculum, and associated learning materials, aids, or course evaluation metrics related to the program. This position involves the exercise of independent judgment and discretion about matters of significance and reports to the Manager of Professional Development in the ASI Organizational Training group
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develops and coordinates curriculum; conducts training sessions and develops criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities.
- Develops training schedules; develops course content and coordinates the development of training aids; in coordination with internal customers, contractors, or vendors, develops in-house programs, learning aids, and activities to address developmental needs.
- Conducts regularly scheduled manufacturing facility tours.
- Develops and administers program effectiveness assessments; continuously revises programs to meet new training requirements and to keep technical information up to date.
- Maintains records on program participants.
- May represent the organization as an external spokesperson on major matters pertaining to policy, plans, and objectives.
- May utilize trainers with expertise; may participate in the selection, development, and training of contract and subcontract staff.
- Provides leadership and direction to subordinate staff as required.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as required.

Job Qualifications:
- Typically requires education or formal training equivalent to a Bachelors Degree in a related field and ten or more years experience designing, developing and administering training programs.
- Previous experience with leadership, rotation and mentorship programs.
- Must be able to communicate and meet with senior leaders.
- Ability to collaborate within and outside of the ASI Organizational Training group
- Must have an in-depth understanding of division/subsidiary/affiliate product(s) and responsibilities and be able to analyze, interpret, understand and integrate technical writing source material into a training curriculum.
- Must possess the ability to: provide leadership; schedule and coordinate multiple work phases; determine the appropriate approach at the task or project level; and have experience demonstrating a basic application of training practices, techniques, and standards.
- Must be customer focused and possess:
- The ability to develop innovative solutions to a variety of moderately complex problems;
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentations skills to accurately train, document and report findings to a variety of audiences including senior management and senior external parties;
- Excellent interpersonal skills to influence and guide employees, senior managers, and customers; The ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information;
- The ability, in some positions, to obtain a security clearance; and
- Excellent computer skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team is essential as is the ability to work extended hours and travel as required.
Salary:$81,080 - $141,650
