Job Summary General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI), an affiliate of General Atomics, is a world leader in proven, reliable remotely piloted aircraft and tactical reconnaissance radars, as well as advanced high-resolution surveillance systems.
We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Operations Business Management team within the Operational Excellence group at GA-ASI.
The charter of the Operational Excellence department is to align GA-ASI automated and non-automated business processes to its business strategy in order to achieve targeted results, leading to effective overall performance through improvements of specific work activities whether within a specific department, between Operations organizations, or across the enterprise. Specifically, the department is responsible for: (1) Operations Business Analytics; (2) Business Process Council Execution; (3) ASI Special Project Execution; (4) ASI Sustainability Program; (5) GA-ASI Operations Continuous Improvement Programs; (6) ASI Facilities Planning; (7) Inventory Management Council Execution; (8) ASI Capital Management (9) Operations Business Management (10) Industrial Engineering
- Knowledge of GA-ASI organizations, processes, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, and products preferred
- Strong proficiency with SAP (including PACE and HULK) preferred.
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio.
- Strong Operations financial background preferred.
- Project Planner, Project Control Analyst (PCA), or Project Management background preferred. Including project management best practices, business processes, and business systems.
- Program management in a manufacturing and flight line environment experience preferred.
- Production Control or Engineering Manufacturing Liaison experience is a plus.
- Must have strong leadership skills, independent and unbiased, capable of quickly gaining trust and loyalty and inspiring/coaching others toward achievements, while developing positive and effective working relationships with superiors, subordinates, peers, customers and others
- Must possess strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to present, influence and collaborate at the leadership level

- Coordinate departmental and/or cross-functional teams to assign and prioritize tasks focused on delivering new or upgrading existing products and/or services.
- Provide leadership, direction, and guidance to team members working on assigned project. Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely fashion.
Job Qualifications:
- Typically requires a Bachelors in Business Administration or related discipline and nine or more years of progressively complex experience in the project administration field with at least three of those years in project management. May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education.
- Must have a thorough understanding of project management processes and procedures, planning and scheduling methods, and budget management as well as the ability to organize, schedule, and coordinate workloads to meet established milestones and budgets.
- Must possess the ability to initiate, plan and manage projects.
- The ability to identify issues, analyze and interpret data and develop solutions to a wide range of complex issues.
- Strong communication, computer, documentation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- The ability to obtain and maintain DoD Security Clearance required.
- Must be able to work extended hours and travel as required.
Salary:$90,930 - $162,788
