Job Summary General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI), an affiliate of General Atomics, is a world leader in proven, reliable remotely piloted aircraft and tactical reconnaissance radars, as well as advanced high-resolution surveillance systems.

This position is responsible for management of various operational proposal and project efforts in support of MQ-1C P&L operations. Facilitates MQ-1C proposal preparation by providing as needed support to various P&L Program Managers and other support staff. The candidate serves as the liaison between Program Management, the project team, planning, and line management to support effective information exchange and communication. Continually reviews project status and budget performance and provides as needed updates to PM; manages schedules and develops appropriate reports to document progress of the project. Assesses project issues and develops solutions to meet program and customer goals and objectives. Participates in the development of mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project management, line management, and the customer.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage all aspects of company proposal processes with emphasis on Proposal Submission timelines, Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), and input of data into the Project Estimation and Tracking (PET) system.
  • Assist with development of Bids and Proposals (B&P) and task order level project plans and project management to ensure project schedule, budget, quality, and specification goals are attained.
  • Work various ad-hoc P&L area projects required to support on-going business operations
  • Communicate and coordinate directly with the Government Army Customer Program personnel as appropriate
  • Monitor project schedule, timeline, and milestones from initiation to delivery.
  • Coordinate departmental and/or cross-functional teams to assign and prioritize tasks focused on delivering new or upgrading existing products and/or services.
  • Monitor work of program management staff, providing technical support and direction when necessary.
  • Create progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation. May present results to project staff when necessary.
  • Identify and assess project issues and develop recommendations for solutions to meet productivity, quality and customer satisfaction goals and objectives.
  • Maintain the strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Responsible for ensuring all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations are observed wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.
  • Other duties as assigned or required.

Job Qualifications:
  • Typically requires a Bachelors, Masters or PhD in engineering, science or a related technical field as well as eleven or more years of progressively complex program administration experience. May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education.
  • Demonstrates technical expertise and application of program management principles, concepts, and practice as well as program management and leadership skills including organizing, planning, scheduling, and coordinating workloads to meet established deadlines or milestones.
  • Must be able to develop solutions to problems that require coordination of technologies across program requirements.
  • Strong communication, leadership, presentation, and interpersonal skills are required to enable an effective interface with other departments, all levels of management, professional and support staff, customers, potential customers, and government representatives.
  • Customer focused, must be able to work on a self-initiated basis and in a team environment, and able to work extended hours and travel as required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain DoD security clearance is required
