Must have a basic understanding of engineering concepts, principles, requirements, and theory and apply them throughout an evolving environment.

Demonstrates the ability to follow and apply basic engineering knowledge, adapt standard techniques

Utilize 3D CAD modeling software to generate design solutions.

Hands-on mechanical engineering knowledge and skill is desired.

Collaborate with teams for prototype and production part manufacturing from machine and fabrication shops.

Able to understand with limited support basic testing including test planning, test execution, test results interpretation and documentation

Basic understanding of drawing requirements with the ability to read and generate engineering drawings.

Basic understanding of Geometric Tolerancing and Dimensioning principals. Understanding of Model Based Definition (MBD) is desired

Possess organizational skills, understand schedule, and work phases.

Good communication, computer, and interpersonal skills are required to enable an effective interface with other professionals, to produce appropriate documentation, and to present results to a limited internal audience.

Use of CREO, Windchill, and Simulate is required. Use of Siemens NX, Teamcenter, and Sim-Center are highly desired

Ability to utilize Microsoft products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint is also required.

Must be able to work both independently and on a team and be self-motivated.

Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Security Clearance is required.

Able to work extended hours as required.
