Job Summary General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI), an affiliate of General Atomics, is a world leader in proven, reliable remotely piloted aircraft and tactical reconnaissance radars, as well as advanced high-resolution surveillance systems.

Under general supervision, this position is responsible for supporting the planning and execution of global logistics strategies, processes, and tools. Participates in the continuous improvement of global logistics initiatives and processes including forward and reverse logistics, package engineering, analysis and reporting, planning, new process development and provides administrative and technical support to the senior leadership team.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES:
  • Provides administrative and technical support to the Global Logistics management team.
  • Participates in planning global logistics strategies and establishing standard logistics processes and tools.
  • Coordinates and supports global logistics activities for selected projects and persons, including logistics planning, training, supply chain activities from point of manufacturing through final delivery, warehousing, package engineering, and internal/external customer service.
  • Identifies logistics issues and participates in developing solutions to a variety of moderately complex problems while referring to standard policies, procedures and practices.
  • May participate in progress planning and review sessions to discuss costs, schedule, and operational performance.
  • May contribute to contract negotiations and contract modifications.
  • Develops, maintains and distributes key performance metrics and analysis.
  • Responsible for ensuring all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations are observed wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.
  • Responsible for ensuring work is accomplished in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices Additional Functions Other duties as assigned or required.

Job Qualifications:
  • Typically requires a bachelor's degree and three or more years of progressive logistics management experience. Equivalent professional experience may be substituted in lieu of education
  • Equivalent professional experience may be substituted in lieu of education.
  • Must demonstrate a general understanding and application of global logistics management concepts and principles and have proven skills such as organizing, scheduling, and coordinating work assignments to meet project milestones or established completion dates.
  • Must possess the ability to contribute to the development of new processes and resolve non-routine technical matters.
  • Must be customer focused and possess the ability to identify issues, analyze and interpret data and develop solutions to a variety of problems including supply chain activities.
  • Good analytical, verbal and written communication skills to accurately document, report, and present findings.
  • Good interpersonal skills and excellent computer skills.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment is essential as is the ability to work extended hours as required.

Salary:$56,820 - $96,015
