Job Summary General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI), an affiliate of General Atomics, is a world leader in proven, reliable remotely piloted aircraft and tactical reconnaissance radars, as well as advanced high-resolution surveillance systems.
With limited supervision, this position is responsible for supporting engineering, manufacturing, and product life cycle sustainment. Will act as the primary point of contact for Retrograde material and will work directly with the Depot repair facility to resolve discrepancies in an expedited manner to ensure contractual obligations and time frames can be met. Assists in ensuring quality and accuracy of received material within an RFID capable warehouse. May assist in ensuring regulated time frames for Government Property Disposal efforts are met by providing assistance to the disposal processing team. May be asked to assist with complex research tasking that requires significant communication with internal customers.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensures parts and purchase requisitions are processed through the system in a timely manner.
- Ensures delivery dates are met by maintaining frequent contact with all stakeholders.
- Confers across functional areas to provide and obtain technical information.
- Coordinates stakeholder retrograde repair priorities and ensures turnaround times are met.
- Advises management of the status of work in progress and identifies potential problems.
- Ensures rapid disposition of emergent requests for material movement
- May function in an advisory or leadership role and provide direction and guidance to less experienced staff.
- Review received and processed material for accuracy and correct any errors identified.
- Maintains the strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Responsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.
- Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.
- Will work in a warehouse environment, often moving material by hand, pallet jack, or other motorized equipment.
- Additional Functions: Other duties as assigned or required.
Job Qualifications:
- Typically requires a bachelor's degree in business, planning or a related discipline and five or more years of progressive experience in planning, coordinating and scheduling production operations. May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education.
- Must demonstrate an extensive understanding of product life cycle sustainment, quality control, and government property requirements.
- Must possess leadership skills including organizing, scheduling, conducting, and coordinating work assignments to meet project milestones or established completion dates.
- Must possess:
- The ability to identify issues, analyze and interpret data and develop innovative solutions to a variety of complex problems.
- Excellent analytical, verbal and written communication skills to accurately document, report, and present findings.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to influence and guide others.
- The ability to contribute to the development of new processes or systems and communicate new concepts.
- Excellent computer skills.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a Forklift operator license.
- The ability to work independently or in a team environment is essential as is the ability to work extended hours and travel as required.
Salary:$68,770 - $116,193
