Job Summary General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI), an affiliate of General Atomics, is a world leader in proven, reliable remotely piloted aircraft and tactical reconnaissance radars, as well as advanced high-resolution surveillance systems.

We have an exciting opportunity in Poway, CA. for an Engineering Aide (Integration) in our Electrical Engineering Department.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Responsible for providing technical support to engineers on a variety of technical tasks.
  • Gathers, maintains and compiles technical data such as laboratory or material test results and engineering design changes.
  • Maintains and may manipulate engineering documentation, reports and drawings such as flow charts, block diagrams, and schematics.
  • May provide preliminary analyses of data or documentation where guidelines are provided in such areas as basic statistical analysis and model dimensional consistency and accuracy.
  • Performs general mathematical calculations using established formulas and presents findings.
  • Develops and maintains a variety of documentation and reports as required.
  • May conduct tests and record data to assist with engineering evaluation or analysis.
  • Provides technical support to engineers on a variety of technical tasks.
  • May revise engineering reports, flow charts and schematics as directed.
  • Responsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.
  • Expected to maintain a productive and safe working environment in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.
  • Other duties as assigned or required.

Job Qualifications:
  • Typically requires an associate's degree in engineering or related technical field and one year of related experience. Equivalent professional experience may be substituted in lieu of education.
  • Must demonstrate a broad understanding of engineering principles, theories and concepts.
  • Must possess: (1) the ability to grasp new concepts quickly and work with minimal supervision; (2) the ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings and other engineering documentation; (3) strong organization skills; (4) the ability to identify issues and interpret data; (5) good analytical, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills to accurately document, report and assess situations and make judgments; and (6) good knowledge of computer operations and applications pertinent to the field.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment is essential as is the ability to work extended hours as required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance is required.

Salary:$56,180 - $83,518
