Job Summary Diazyme, an affiliate of General Atomics, is a cGMP and ISO 13485 certified medical device manufacturer. Diazyme uses its proprietary enzyme technologies to develop diagnostic reagents which can be used on most automated chemistry analyzers in user-friendly formats. Their products include test kits for diagnosis of cardiovascular disease, liver disease, cancer markers, renal disease, diabetes, and electrolytes.
Under general supervision, this position performs a variety of activities in support of operations for one or more project/business/technical units. This role involves creating, reviewing, editing, maintaining, processing, and compiling a variety of confidential and sensitive electronic and hard copy reports, records, statistics, timelines, tables, correspondence, and presentations, which requires tact and discretion in handling. Provides data and information requiring some explanation, interpretation, or technical understanding, including basic knowledge of life sciences when applicable. Primary contacts are within the department, with occasional contact with management and representatives of outside organizations. Detailed instructions are provided for new activities or special assignments.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinates the activities of one or more functional areas or project/ business/ technical units.
- Creates, edits, and reviews Microsoft Word and Excel logs and documents that may require basic understanding of life sciences.
- Gathers, collects, records, tracks, and verifies data and information from multiple sources and department originators.
- Coordinates project review, routing, and final approval of documents in print and electronic form.
- Tracks project progress in logs and may report on the progress of assignments or projects.
- Maintains and updates a variety of confidential and sensitive electronic and/or hard copy reports and records.
- Assists managers with travel requests, and scheduling internal and external meetings.
- Responds to routine verbal and written requests for information from internal and external sources.
- Prepares requested electronic and hard copy reports and presentations.
- Observes all laws, regulations, and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the company.
- Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.
- Performs additional functions and other duties as assigned or required.

Job Qualifications:
- Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent and two or more years of experience in a field related to the specialized functional area or unit where assigned.
- Demonstrates a broad understanding of assigned functional area principles, theories, and concepts.
- Must possess the following skills and abilities:
- Ability to grasp new concepts quickly.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to establish priorities.
- Ability to identify issues and solve routine problems.
- Good analytical, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills to accurately document and report.
- Full knowledge of computer operations and applications, including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
Salary:$44,590 - $66,295
