Job Summary General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI), an affiliate of General Atomics, is a world leader in proven, reliable remotely piloted aircraft and tactical reconnaissance radars, as well as advanced high-resolution surveillance systems.
Under limited supervision, this position is responsible for performing a variety of activities in support of the Calibration Program. The role involves maintaining processes, reviewing, compiling, and potentially analyzing a variety of electronic and hard copy calibration reports, records, and data.
Additional responsibilities may include supporting the design of workflows, creating work instructions, assisting with metrics and testing, and developing presentations. This role requires interaction with equipment end users, suppliers, and customers.
Assignments are of moderate scope and importance, requiring judgment in analyzing, interpreting, and making recommendations to resolve non-routine issues. The position also supports internal and external audits of the Calibration Program as required.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinates and supports the Calibration Program and related activities for all GA-ASI San Diego facilities.
- Must have a thorough understanding of calibration concepts and requirements and be able to support end users across multiple departments.
- Coordinates and schedules equipment calibration with suppliers for both on-site and off-site services. Requests quotes and submits EPRs for calibration services.
- Tracks and maintains accurate, up-to-date records and databases. Reviews calibration certificates and appropriately identifies out-of-tolerance data.
- Coordinates check-in/check-out support and assists with monitoring the Calibration Inbox and responding to user inquiries, report requests, and status updates.
- Generates recall reports and distributes them to the appropriate personnel. Also generates equipment inventory reports.
- Actively participates in continuous improvement initiatives for calibration processes.
- Gathers, collects, records, tracks, and verifies data and information from multiple sources.
- Coordinates, tracks, and reports on the progress of unit work assignments and/or Calibration Program projects.
- Maintains, develops, and updates a variety of electronic and/or hard copy reports.
- Experience with regulatory audit compliance is preferred. Must be able to support internal and external audit documentation requirements.
- Responsible for observing all laws, regulations, and other applicable obligations whenever and wherever business is conducted on behalf of the company. Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices. Other duties as assigned or required.

Job Qualifications:
- Typically requires an associate's degree or trade school certification along with one or more year(s) of experience working as a quality technician in a manufacturing environment. May substitute equivalent experience as a quality technician in lieu of education.
- Requires a general understanding of calibration processes.
- Experience with SAP, Microsoft Office, and METTEAM/Fluke is preferred. Familiarity with the administration of calibrated tools is a plus.
- The ability to identify and interpret data.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills to effectively convey information across all levels of the organization.
- Excellent organizational skills to maintain workflow within the unit.
- The ability to establish and manage priorities.
- General knowledge of computer operations, including word processing and spreadsheet applications.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Must also be able to work extended hours as required.
- Outstanding attention to detail, communication skills, and customer support capabilities.
Salary:$48,160 - $71,598
