Job Summary General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI), an affiliate of General Atomics, is a world leader in proven, reliable remotely piloted aircraft and tactical reconnaissance radars, as well as advanced high-resolution surveillance systems.

Under general supervision with on-going review, this position is responsible for designing and coding programs required on one or more platforms. This includes designing and coding for break/fix tickets, enhancement releases and assigned projects.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Designs, documents and codes programs for break/fix tickets, enhancements and assigned projects.
  • Designs and constructs interfaces between applications, legacy or other systems.
  • Documents program requirements and development.
  • Analyzes system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, and controls.
  • Ensures programs that are developed meet various compliance, reporting, and security standards.
  • Assists in the planning of future application requirements to ensure needs are met based on new developments in computer technology.
  • Maintains the strict confidentiality of sensitive information. 8.Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Responsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.
  • Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.

Job Qualifications:
  • Typically requires a bachelors degree in Information Technology or related discipline. Equivalent professional experience may be substituted in lieu of education.
  • Must demonstrate a basic understanding of applications development principles, theories, concepts and techniques.
  • Must have experience organizing, planning, scheduling, conducting, and coordinating work assignments to meet project milestones or established completion dates.
  • Must possess the ability to understand new concepts quickly and apply them in an evolving environment while contributing to the development of new processes.
  • Must be customer focused and possess:
    • the ability to identify issues, analyze data and develop solutions to a variety of problems
    • good analytical, verbal and written communication skills to accurately document, report, and present findings
    • good interpersonal skills enabling an effective interface with other professionals
    • strong computer skills.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment is essential as is the ability to work extended hours as required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain DOD clearance is required.

Salary:$60,670 - $90,198
