Job Summary General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI), an affiliate of General Atomics, is a world leader in proven, reliable remotely piloted aircraft and tactical reconnaissance radars, as well as advanced high-resolution surveillance systems.

Under general supervision, this position is responsible for coordinating ground and flight operations efforts including mission planning, execution and briefing, debriefing, aircrew resource management and ground and flight safety. Serves as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) of assigned Unmanned Aerial Vehicle(s) (UAV).

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Coordinate and actively participate in ground and flight operations efforts including mission planning, execution and briefing, debriefing, aircrew resource management and safety.
  • Remotely pilot vehicle to determine compliance with specification and operational suitability during engineering tests and flight test/demonstration support through specifically prescribed tests and maneuvers.
  • Assist the ground and flight operations efforts including mission planning, execution, briefing, debriefing, aircrew resource management and safety.
  • Operate the payload of the UAV, on the ground and in flight, in support of customer requirements and successful execution of the mission.
  • Operate company or customer owned aircraft.
  • May participate in the preparation and presentation of continuation training of aircraft systems, mission support and deployed operations.
  • Define, plan, organize and execute flight programs and flight test events.
  • Ensure compliance with service guidance, company policy and procedures and Japan Civil Aviation Bureau (JCAB) regulations.
  • May participate in the development of operational and safety procedures and training syllabus courseware.
  • Conduct demonstrations and tests of assigned UAVs, representing the organization to military and commercial customers.
  • Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and obligations whenever and wherever business is conducted on behalf of the company.
  • Support compliance with GA Global Japan K.K. and program related standard operating procedures and related trade controls compliance processes.
  • Must work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned or required.
