Under limited direction this position is responsible for the daily operations of the SGSS Warehouse in Japan consisting of common and customer-specific inventory of spare parts that will support local MQ-9B RPAS operations and maintenance requirements utilizing primarily the RAMCO MRO software application and manual processes as required. Works in close coordination between the warehouse, transportation (including external freight forwarder), US-Japan export/import authorities, Site leadership (Site Lead, Lead Mechanic, Lead Avionics Technician) and other local partner organizations to ensure MQ-9B RPAS parts and tools are provided in a timely manner meeting the Site’s demands in accordance with contract metrics. Works in close coordination with the GA-ASI SGSS Inventory Control Point in Poway CA, USA to provide supply performance analysis and reporting, recommendations on stock level adjustments, timely return and shipment of unserviceable parts requiring repair, and inventory and cycle count performance and discrepancy resolution.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position is responsible for managing inventory and oversight of the daily operations of the SGSS warehouse(s) and Inventory Handover Point including receipt, protection, storage and issuance of all equipment, spare parts and materials.
  • Manage and actively participates in the daily operations of inventory management by prioritizing work activities which include reviewing, approving and evaluating purchase requisitions, transfer of stock, shortages and expedites to ensure project and production requirements are met.
  • Develop, implement and modify inventory control programs and operational procedures to ensure project(s) and production requirements are met.
  • Assist in installation and implementation of systems used to support inventory management.
  • Direct the storing, issuing and delivery of all parts, materials and supplies with responsibility for their security and accountability.
  • Assign tasks, reviews work and provide direction to staff including subcontracted warehouse employees or external host nation augments while ensuring processes are met within established timelines.
  • Ensure department complies with SGSS standard operating procedures and other relevant certification requirements such as ISO-9000.
  • Develop and present reports to management for inventory monitoring and control.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and reports to reflect storeroom activities.
  • Accountable for SGSS inventory accuracy to include inventory in the custody of a subcontracted warehouse.
  • Participate in the planning, attraction, selection, retention and development of staff to ensure the availability of required talent.
  • Responsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the company.
  • Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices
