We have an exciting opportunity for a Spares/Repairs Project Manager for the Electromagnetic Aircraft Launch System (EMALS) and Advanced Arresting Gear (AAG) system to join our team located in Rancho Bernardo, CA. The Project Manager plays a critical role in delivering EMALS and AAG hardware for the Navy and is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the operational aspects of multiple projects that may involve hardware, firmware, and/or software, and teams of 2-30 project members.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Complete proposal and project deliveries per business objectives and contract requirements.
  • Interpret and administer policies, processes and procedures that impact project(s).
  • Collaborate across management and project team to expand services and business opportunities. May participate in, lead segments of, or provide overall management for the request for proposal (RFP) process to generate new business.
  • Create project plans and manage resources to ensure project schedule, budget, quality, and specification goals are attained. Oversee and monitor project schedule, timelines, and milestones to meet delivery goals.
  • Provide direction and priorities to a cross-functional team, including subcontractors / sub-tier suppliers. Effectively communicate project expectations and assign/track project team tasks.
  • Assess project issues (including technical, engineering and manufacturing related issues) and develop solutions to meet business, quality, and customer goals and objectives.
  • Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, statements of work/Contract Data Requirements List (CDRLs), requirements documentation, and presentations.
  • Develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project management, line management, and the customer.
  • Maintain the strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Responsible for decisions which have an impact on outcomes and where failure to complete assignments will typically result in serious delays and expenditure of additional resources.
  • Responsible for ensuring all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations are observed wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company. Responsible for ensuring work is accomplished in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.
  • Other duties as assigned or required.

Job Qualifications:
  • Typically requires a Bachelors in Business Administration or related discipline and nine or more years of progressively complex experience in the project administration field with at least three of those years in project management. May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education
  • Experience with Government contracts, lean manufacturing process, quality documentation, and/or Cost Account Management is highly desired.
  • Must demonstrate an extensive understanding of project management processes and procedures, planning and scheduling methods, and budget management as well as the ability to organize, schedule, and coordinate workloads to meet established milestones and budgets.
  • Must demonstrate a fundamental knowledge of engineering and manufacturing processes (i.e. nonconformances, change management, logistics impacts, etc.)
  • Prior experience with DOD/DOE production and/or sustainment contracts is highly desired, especially the optimization of government depot-level repair processes/lines
  • The ability to initiate, plan, and manage projects
  • The ability to identify issues, analyze and interpret data and develop solutions to a variety of non-routine matters of diverse scope and nature
  • Experience streamlining proposal estimate and development processes
  • Strong analytical, communication, documentation, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work independently and lead in a team environment.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance is required.

Salary:$81,190 - $145,338
