We have an exciting opportunity for a Financial Analyst in the Internal Audit Department. This position reports to the Corporate Compliance Manager and will be responsible for supporting Corporate Compliance activities for GA and its affiliated companies.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • With general supervision, performs ad-hoc data analysis utilizing different data sources to assist the Internal Audit & Government Compliance department.
  • Establish a compliance monitoring process utilizing data analytics.
  • Performs a variety of data analytics in support of compliance investigations, including analyzing timekeeping records.
  • Prepares cohesive reports of findings using data analysis.
  • Assists in developing new data analytics to detect anomalies in data to deter fraud and monitor compliance with contracting regulations, company policies and procedures.
  • Acts as a liaison between the department and Information Systems technical staff to produce reports, processes, analyses, etc. to meet department business requirements.
  • Maintains the strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Utilizes MS Office suite, SAP and other applications.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Job Qualifications
  • Typically requires a bachelor's degree in business administration with an emphasis in accounting and/or finance and three or more years of progressive professional cost accounting experience in a corporate environment, preferably with a government contractor. May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education.
  • Requires experience in using data analysis software tools (such as ACL or ActiveData).
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance
  • Must have a comprehensive understanding of industry and government cost accounting principles, theories and concepts and a complete and thorough knowledge of cost accounting practices, techniques, and standards.
  • Must be customer focused and possess: (1) the ability to identify issues and develop solutions to a variety of problems of diverse scope and complexity; (2) excellent analytical, verbal and written communication skills to accurately document, report, and present accounting and finance findings: (3) excellent interpersonal skills to influence and guide all levels of employees, including senior managers and senior external parties on accounting and finance matters; (4) the ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information; (5) the ability to initiate, plan, and manage projects; (6) the ability to represent the department or company on projects ; and (7) excellent computer skills. Ability to work independently or in a team environment is essential as is the ability to work extended hours and travel as required.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Strong knowledge of Government Contracting rules is desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of the SAP costing module and its integration with other SAP modules is preferred.
  • 2 or more years of specialized experience with ERP systems in the Aerospace and Defense industry is desirable.
  • CFE designation is preferred.
