Job Summary

Diazyme, an affiliate of General Atomics, is a cGMP and ISO 13485 certified medical device manufacturer. Diazyme uses its proprietary enzyme technologies to develop diagnostic reagents which can be used on most automated chemistry analyzers in user-friendly formats. Their products include test kits for diagnosis of cardiovascular disease, liver disease, cancer markers, renal disease, diabetes, and electrolytes.

With general supervision, this position is responsible for sales activities of products and/or services to governmental and/or commercial agencies. Maintains key sales contacts with domestic entities. Evaluates new initiatives and business opportunities. Participates in the development of short- and long-range objectives and recommends goals to higher management. Identifies customer needs, performs market analysis, monitors competitive activity, and develops business plans. This role is supporting the Mid and South- East Region. KY, IN, OH, MI, WV, the ideal candidate would be located in this area.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develops market/product line business plans and capture plans to support sales in designated market segments. Advises management on status or action required in connection with existing and potential sales programs.
Identifies potential customers to develop and fosters partnerships. Analyzes market data to identify trends/opportunities and provides input for strategic direction.
Creates market analyses presentations. May prepare and present company product briefings and conducts facilities tours for visitors.
Assists in supplying business development input and administrative control for specific projects within the group.
Coordinates promotional activities including participation in trade shows, advertising, brochures and literature, and videos.
Maintains the strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
Responsible for observing all laws, regulations, and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.
Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.

Job Qualifications:

Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, science major or related field and three or more years progressively complex marketing/sales experience. Equivalent professional experience may be substituted in lieu of education.
Must demonstrate a general understanding of sales concepts, techniques, and standards and experience demonstrating those concepts.
Must possess the ability to contribute to the development of new processes or systems and communicate new concepts.
The ability to identify issues, analyze and interpret data and develop solutions to a variety of moderately complex sales issues.
Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills to accurately document, report, and present findings to a variety of audiences.
Strong interpersonal skills to influence and guide all levels of customer representatives.
The ability to initiate, plan, and manage projects effectively and efficiently.
The ability to represent the company on external projects, and strong computer, documentation, and presentation skills.
The ability to work independently or in a team environment is essential as is the ability to work hours and travel as required.

Salary:$62,460 - $105,533
